Responsibilities
- Lead the team through daily operations, ensuring work is organized, paced properly, and completed efficiently.
- Set and reinforce safety expectations through daily check-ins, proactive hazard awareness, and consistent follow-up on incidents and reporting.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications by maintaining active oversight and supporting the team with real-time guidance and corrections.
- Partner with maintenance to keep equipment reliable, properly maintained, and ready to support production needs.
- Oversee materials by ensuring they are prepared in advance, tracked accurately, and replenished before shortages impact workflow.
- Support team development by setting clear expectations and providing hands-on coaching and on-the-job training.
- Keep leadership informed on production progress, challenges, and outcomes, while ensuring workforce time is tracked accurately.
- Address operational issues as they arise, working through equipment, material, or process challenges with internal teams as needed.
- Manage performance through direct feedback, addressing gaps early and recognizing strong contributions.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen consistency across coating operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a related field.
- 3+ years' supervisory experience with demonstrated motivating, training, appraising and general supervisory skills.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
- Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing practices as needed.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
- Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.

Experience:
- industrial painting: 5 years (preferred)
- industrial blasting: 5 years (preferred)
- supervisory: 3 years (preferred)
