Cabinetry Processing Associate

Progressive Cabinets and Millwork, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a Processing Associate to join our team in Dartmouth, NS!

Summary

The Processing Associate is responsible to use and interpret designs to prepare packages for the construction and installation of custom cabinets and cabinetry.

The successful candidate will work closely with all departments to ensure effective communication between department heads and related output.

Responsibilities

Safety

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when operating machinery.
  • The Processing Associate will conduct themselves in accordance with the company’s safety processes and procedures by being proactive and attentive in all areas of their position.
Production
  • The candidate is responsible for working with plant department, especially the custom department, to discuss and design custom items as needed. The Processing Associate will interpret shop drawings, assist with cabinetry design and processing work orders, and ensure that cabinetry and millwork is completed accurately and efficiently.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience with kitchen cabinet construction and installation.
  • Experience with commercial millwork construction, design, and installation.
  • Strong mathematical skills, especially fractions. Comfort working in metric is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cabinet components and associated hardware.
  • Basic ability to interpret and understand shop drawings.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Office suite of programs.
  • Knowledge of specific processing programs considered an asset.
  • Ability to follow standardized instructions and work with strict deadlines
  • Willingness to participate in discussion to change or modify standards as necessary
