Job description:

Cherubini Bridges and Structures, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team in Dartmouth, NS!

We have an outstanding Safety Culture that focuses on the health and wellbeing of our workforce. The desire to be an active participant in our Safety Program is a vital aspect of employment within the Cherubini Group of Companies. We also offer competitive compensation and benefits.

Summary

For more than 50 years, Cherubini has provided custom steel solutions to clients around the world. We specialize in a full range of bridge structures, structural steel, offshore structures, and miscellaneous steel. Cherubini is proud to provide a full range of project services from fabrication to metalizing, to transportation, and erection.

Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, you will support a variety of short-term projects while helping drive one longer-term project, building hands-on experience with the full project lifecycle from kickoff to closeout.

You’ll gain exposure to both bridge work and structural steel projects, take ownership of core coordination and documentation tasks, and communicate directly with clients and internal teams. Success in this role requires strong follow-through, comfort working through unknowns, and an interest in how day-to-day decisions affect schedule, cost, and overall project outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Support Project Managers across multiple projects, providing day-to-day coordination and administrative ownership as you learn the project management process.
  • Maintain project schedules, action logs, and future planning documents; track key dates, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements, confirm expectations, and support timely decision-making.
  • Monitor progress against schedule and follow up on open items; flag risks, issues, and changes to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation (meeting minutes, correspondence, transmittals, logs, and status updates).
  • Coordinate internal communication between project management, engineering/drafting, procurement, fabrication, quality, and site teams to keep work moving.
  • Support basic project tracking (costs, change items, and commitments) and understand how your work impacts the financial success of the jobs you support.

Qualifications

  • Technical education or background (engineering, architectural/technical design, construction management, or related).
  • Software: Microsoft 365 including MS Project, AutoCAD (asset), PowerFab (asset), Syspro (asset)
  • Strong organization and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities across several projects.
  • Confident communicator who is comfortable speaking with clients and internal teams, asking questions, and working through ambiguity.
  • Interest in structural steel and bridge work; familiarity with steel fabrication and construction processes is an asset.
  • Demonstrates ownership and a learning mindset – comfortable not always having the answer and willing to find it.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
