Facilities Technician

Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a hands-on, versatile role responsible for keeping our buildings and grounds in top condition. This individual is the go-to problem solver — equally comfortable with a paintbrush, a wrench, or a shovel. From minor carpentry repairs and landscaping to preventive maintenance and facility improvements, this position supports a clean, safe, and functional work environment for all employees.
They are the go-to problem solver for day-to-day facility needs, ensuring our spaces are safe, functional, and well cared for. Responsibilities

Lead by example as a champion of the Cherubini Health and Safety Program by complying with PPE requirements and safe lifting practices while fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Perform general building maintenance, such as basic carpentry, painting, drywall patching, and minor plumbing or electrical repairs.

Maintain outdoor spaces — mowing, trimming, light snow removal, and light landscaping.

Inspect and repair company assets such as furniture, fences, and signage.

Support facility improvement projects (e.g., building upgrades, reorganizations, office or shop layout changes).

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards, escalating issues as needed.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues with a “find a way” mindset.

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; report when materials need restocking.

Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs or inspections are required.

Support workplace safety by keeping facilities tidy, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Assist with general tasks and projects as needed — no job too big or too small.
Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work in varying weather conditions.

Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
